Opposite Seasons

Australia is in the Southern Hemisphere. This means the seasons are opposite to Japan. When it is summer in Japan, it is winter in Australia. Christmas in Australia is in summer! Many Australians have a BBQ on the beach for Christmas. The weather in Australia is usually warm and sunny. But it can be very hot in summer, sometimes over 40 degrees.
