固有動物、動物園
Australia is home to many unique animals that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. The continent has been separated from other landmasses for millions of years, which has allowed its wildlife to evolve in remarkable ways. Kangaroos, which are perhaps the most well-known Australian animal, have become an unofficial symbol of the country. There are approximately 50 million kangaroos in Australia, which means they outnumber the human population. Koalas, who spend up to 22 hours a day sleeping, are another iconic species that has captured the hearts of people worldwide. The platypus is a truly extraordinary creature which has puzzled scientists since it was first discovered. It is a mammal that lays eggs, has a bill like a duck, and a tail like a beaver. Wombats, echidnas, and quokkas are other fascinating animals that are native to Australia.

Taronga Zoo is a world-class zoo which is located on the shores of Sydney Harbour. It has been operating since 1916 and is home to over 4,000 animals that represent more than 350 species. I have visited this zoo three times, and each visit has been a wonderful experience. The koala encounter, which allows visitors to get close to koalas, was my absolute favourite. I was amazed by how tiny and fluffy they were. The zoo has also been involved in many conservation programs that are designed to protect endangered species. The view of the Sydney skyline from the zoo, which can be reached by ferry, is absolutely spectacular. One thing that impressed me was the free-flight bird show that is performed daily. The birds fly over the audience with the harbour as a backdrop. I would recommend arriving early because the zoo can get quite crowded on weekends.
